I was fortunate enough to have one of my photos as Picture of the Day in April 2012 and another one of my photos (the charging leopard), was a finalist (15th place) out of over 700 photographs in Picture of the Year 2010.

Update: May 2013: I recently entered this photo in a competition held by US Embassy Pretoria (US Mission to South Africa). From all the entrants, it was placed 2nd by the judges.
Wiki Loves Monuments

During the course of September 2012, Wikimedia South Africa started a local project called Wiki Loves Monuments the month of September which is South Africa's Heritage month.

Photos of monuments were to be uploaded onto Wikimedia Commons. My story can be found here: (My pseudonym on some websites, is Leo_za1)
